• Fine dining in rustic setting, one of the top restaurants in Clarens, Shelley and Mark and their staff go out of their way to make your evening memorable.

Once a S A Railways bus service maintenance shed, the property was developed into a restaurant site in 1997. Serving the local community, the bus service travelled daily between Clarens and Bethlehem. The neighbouring Bibliophile bookstore was originally the bus station. The property was sold in 1999, changed into an upmarket country dining establishment and renamed Clementines.

After 16 years in Johannesburg’s corporate world, Shelley Tresidder opted for a better quality of life in Clarens. In August 2010 she relocated to Clarens, bought Clementines and within the first week her positive energy was already being felt in the old building.

These many milestones add to the ambience and charm of this quaint and popular restaurant in ‘The Jewel of the Free State”.
