News from the CTF

The CTF are extremely proud of what it has achieved over the last 4 years and looks forward to continuing to market this beautiful village on all platforms available to it.
There are some exciting developments and, in association with the CVC, CRA, GCCC and SPF have embraced the ‘Unity is Strength’ motto, to work together for the success and prosperity of the entire village!
A marketing strategy plan is also under development with the assistance of one of our local residents who has vast experience in the corporate marketing field.
It is evident that the most effective marketing tools at present are via the social media platforms, i.e. facebook, twitter, websites, etc. To this end, the CTF will be inviting Mr Rich Simmonds for a ‘refresher’/start-up Twitter training workshop – you will be informed as soon as a date has been confirmed. Twitter users are encouraged to keep tweeting and re-tweeting to create a twitter buzz about Clarens.
The Website will be updated and refreshed with all current members. Please ensure that your information remains current by sending regular updates to the website manager Sigal Zahavi sigalzahav@gmail.com
The educational/marketing program that proved very successful in 2012 will be re-launched for September/October 2015. This marketing drive targets the media, hospitality and travel/tour operators to come for a visit to gain some product knowledge. A mail-drop in this regard will be going out requesting participation from all local sectors, for sponsored accommodation, meals, activities, etc. The CTF will construct a jam-packed itinerary showcasing all that Clarens has on offer. The 2012 program resulted in feature articles in a number of high end magazines with a total combined value in excess of R100 000,00.
Clarens will also be present at the Getaway show at the end of August as part of the N3Gateway’s award-winning exhibition stand. These trade shows are invaluable and creates opportunities for database building while marketing Clarens, The Destination. Please indicate whether you would like to attend the show to assist with the running of the stand over the weekend of 28 – 30 August.
The CTF together with the other associations would like to embark on a ‘crew training’ program. A questionnaire is being designed for completion by willing candidates to be trained up in a variety of fields, i.e. cleaning, marshalling, waitering, guiding, recycling, etc. These candidates can then be called upon to assist at any event/function in the village. Your participation, expertise and input is vital for this to be successful.
Look forward to seeing you all on Monday the 8th of June for a glass of liquid refreshment and a snack.
Regards
Tammy
