Hi,
With regard to Street Numbering, just a reminder that you should be making efforts to display your new street number on your property. Street numbering (as it is officially termed) has been on the cards since 2008 and has now been finalized and now brings Clarens into line with other towns across South Africa. Remember that your stand number is not changing, that will remain the same on Title Deeds and business documents, however, you will be required to advise your bankers and interested parties of your new street number. You will be required to produce proof of address in which case use your Municipal Account. Mail for Clarens is typically addressed to
Box Numbers, as we no longer have postal deliveries to properties, but of course the main reason for this change is to ensure that properties can more easily be located by emergency services and tourists and to conform with the rest of South Africa. Even although this change has been in the pipeline for more than 6 years, we understand the inconvenience which we will all have to bear, but it is for the greater good.
