On the 13th March The CCIA committee had their annual gathering. The meeting took place at The Tshepong Centre and was scheduled at 17:00pm. The informed agenda involved the current situation and future aspects of all the projects under the CCIA that they are hoping to achieve within the next year. According to Dons Kritzinger (Chairman of CCIA) the financial status of the non profit organisation is favourable. There is however still room for financial improvement as more expenses are incurred on a daily basis because the organisation is expanding and more people are to be taken care of. Within the next year one of the main objectives will be that of raising and gathering enough funds to build an Art Centre. This centre will be built on The Tshepong Centre property. The building to be was initially planned as a proper venue for the Centre Ballet Ministry which is one of the projects under the CCIA. After considering other possible options it was decided that the Art Centre will accommodate not only ballet classes but also other forms of art such as singing and drama to the underprivileged.

Also on the agenda was the change in responsibilities. As from 17th March 2014, Swanie Swanepoel is said to be taking over the position of Chairman of the CCIA from Dons Kritzinger. Dons will still play an active part of the organisation as he will be in charge of the Outreach committee , the Retirement Care committee and the Social Care committee.

The AGM was not all about just serious topics it must be said. There were quite some good entertainment as well. After a third part of the meeting the Tshepong Choir delighted the crowd with a strong singing performance of our countries national anthem Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrika. Shortly afterwards the Ballet Ministries’ girls were welcomed before showcasing  a splendid effort of ballet dancing. Last but not least the Fire Fighter choir closed off the meeting when they brought down the roof by displaying a loud and powerful act of singing which had the entire crowd listening in anticipation. See above for images of these exciting events.
